The Burrell Art collection is on the south side of Glasgow, right in the middle of the Pollock country park. It certainly is a fantastic modern museum with a very interesting collection of art objects from almost every ancient culture.

Moreover, they are having the 'One Million Days in China' exhibition featuring more than 100 objects that are on display for the first time, besides the fact that the Burrel collection is one of the largest collections of Chinese art in the UK.

Entrance is free and you will only pay your First Day ticket (bus £2.20). That's it.

Weather permitting... (as usual) we can walk around the park, which is really nice!

Meeting point> University main gates.

Hey!

Sorry if this causes any confusion but as the email says the updated plan for the Burrell Collection is to meet at the main gates at 11am!  We will then get the bus from accross the road at 11.11am (to be very precise!) so make sure you have arrived by then!

For those who 11am is a bit of a struggle on a Saturday morning or who want to make their own way to the Burrell Collection on another day you have to get the number 44 into the city centre and then from Jamaica Street either the 45, 47, 48 or 57 which take you right to the Burrell Collection.

As said before it costs £2.20 for a day ticket and entry to the collection is free.

Hope to see you Saturday!

Lou
