2004-2005 Annual Ball

The International Society is more than delighted to invite friends and foes (we need to sell tickets, right?) to the traditional (is not traditional, in fact it is the first time ever, but sounds nice)

INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY ANNUAL BALL

Venue: The Dinning Room, GUU
Date: Saturday 28 May 2005, 7:30pm - 1am

This is going to be the biggest night of the year. If you are not attending a
graduation ball this term, this is your chance then!

It is going to be a formal ball with a four course dinner, DJ & dancing, a
couple of free drinks, and a few surprises (formal dress code advised, come
on, leave those manky trainers at home for a day!).

Cost: peanuts as usual, with the International Society you get the best deals.
The cost is 15 pounds.

60 places only, so if you would like to attend send us email to
guinternational@gla.ac.uk immediately, to book it in advance.

Only 10 places left!

ball (bôl) n.

  1. A formal gathering for social dancing.
  2. Informal. An extremely enjoyable time or experience: We had a ball during our vacation [in Glasgow. N.Ed.]

[French bal, from Old French, from baller, to dance, from Late Latin ballāre, from Greek ballizein.]
